Did you applied for 2020 Npower Recruitment of Batch C Volunteers? If yes, what Programme did you applied for during your Npower Registration?
If you applied for Npower Batch C under N-Agro then there is a very possible chance that you may have already been shortlisted among others. Let me explain why am saying so.
N-power is a Federal Government program established in 2016 under the Administration of President Buhari, the platform was to help the young Nigerian youths out of poverty and create more job opportunities for young graduates in the country.
It’s very common in Africa especially Nigeria Whenever some Nigerians hear the word Agro or Agriculture, they picture themselves in a farm with cutlass and hoes putting on dirty clothes like a typical farmer in the rural areas. But this is not the case with N-Power because what you will mostly do in the N-Agro scheme is virtually submitting reports or basically overseeing some group of people who work in a Government established farms or u may be posted to work with states agricultural board and be helping with agricultural policy reforms and implementation that’s if you’re lucky. The hard labor is not meant for you to take note of that.
Reasons Why N-Agro Applicants Will Be Shortlisted First
Below are some of the main reasons you will or may have already been shortlisted for the N-Agro scheme.
1. The competition in the N-Agro Scheme is less
Due to the already made explanation above, fewer or less people applied for N-Agro. This gives u an upper hand and stands a better chance of being selected since there are fewer people who applied for N-Agro.
2. Schools are currently not in section
Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country schools are currently closed. Because of this, the government would not want to employ more teachers and keep them on payroll without them carrying out their responsibilities. It’s counterproductive and encourages laziness so Rather, they will employ those who are productive and will help them accomplish food sufficiency rapidly even in the pandemic. And guess who? The Agriculturists and N-Agro applicants.
3.The vacancy in the agricultural sector is huge and governed
While the majority of youth expresses to see its future outside agriculture, many good job opportunities on and off the farm remain in agriculture.
The agricultural industry offers a diverse and interesting range of career opportunities with a vast array of quality employers.
This means there are a huge number of opportunities further up – and down – the supply chain too.
For example, agriculture has a vibrant agri-supply sector that sells inputs to farmers, such as machinery, crop protection products, animal feed, fertiliser and seed.
You don’t actually need to have studied agriculture to get a job in the agricultural industry – but looking at the employment record of those people who have is a useful indicator of the long-term career prospects.
