Applicants who successfully applied for the SPW Program has started receiving SMS from the Six (6) approved designated banks across the country for account opening and verification.
If you receive an account number or message from any of the banks listed here, please don’t delete it and please honour their invitation if asked to come for verification. It means you’ve been selected for the Federal Government Special Public Works Program.

Once you receive an SMS from any of the bank above, please make sure you go straight to the Bank branch where you are ask to visit for your SPW verification.
Here is an example of the invitation SMS from banks for Special Public Works account verification
Dear ……….. kindly visit ……… Bank for opening of account for FG SPW program on ….&…. October, 2020. Please come with passport and valid ID card.
When you get to the bank, you will be asked your name and the bank will go through the Special Public Works Programme list to find out if your name is on the list of Shortlisted applicants.
If you find your name on the list, you will be given a form to fill for your final SPW verification. Please make sure you fill out the verification form correctly without making any mistake.

Note, if you are already an account holder with the bank, you will be asked for your account number for verification, but if you don’t have any account with that particular bank, you will be asked to fill an account opening form.
Also Note that November 1st, 2020 has been approved for the Commencement of the Special Public Works (SPW) Program for Successful Shortlisted Applicants to kick start the 774,000 Jobs in all LGAs accross the country.
