The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, December 1st, as a public holiday to mark the Eid-El-Maulud celebration. According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Engr Abubakar Magaji, the minister announced the commemoration of the Eid-El-Maulud celebration on behalf of the Federal Government.

The Minister urged all Muslim faithful and Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, progress, and unity of the nation. He further urged all Nigerians to channel their energy toward values which will bring peace and unite to the country and also support President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration towards building the nation.
