Course Aims
To provide the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to start a career as Fashion Designer in
the fashion & textiles industry. This course is ideal for developing your sewing skills. It will cover all aspects of
garment making from selecting a pattern to the finishing touches. These skills may help you towards a career in
the field of fashion.

Course content:
– Plan and produce garments
– Develop skills in pattern cutting
– Measuring
– Sewing styles
– Fabrics
– Gain confidence using sewing machines and other sewing equipment
Employment Opportunity
This is a practical course and designed so that student/participants are enabled to
work on individual projects. Participants will have direct access to immediate employment and absolved by
companies and organisations after successful completion of training.
Entry Requirements
Applicant should be between the ages of 18 – 25 years and holders of a minimum of
school certificate with ambition to excel in the fashion & textiles industry.
The training will be for a period of 4 weeks!

The following documents should be scanned and attached: ⦁ Educational/Vocational certificates ⦁ Certificate
verifying Local Government Areas of Origin ⦁ Birth certificate/Age Declaration Affidavit ⦁ Passport photograph
⦁ Recommendation/Reference from a responsible citizen, preferably a Clergy in a reputable church; or Civil
Servant of the rank of Director or above or a recognized Traditional Ruler.
Closing Date of Application
Applications must be submitted on or before 30th of May 2018!
