Emohua Local Government Chairman, Dr Chidi Lloyd has reiterated the ban on all Community Development Committee (CDC) and Youth Council elections in the local government area.
Dr Lloyd says the earlier directive by Rivers State Government prohibiting the election into the leadership of CDC and Youth bodies across the state is still in force in Emohua local government area.
Consequently, the council chairman has directed all Community Development Committees and Youth Bodies preparing for the election of new executives within the Local Government Area to approach the Local Government Council for the constitution of caretaker committees to temporarily pilot the affairs of the organization until the ban is lifted by the State Government.

The local government chairman further enjoined all CDC and Youth bodies across the local government area to adhere to the directive of the State Government or face the full weight of the law.
