Emohua Local Government Chairman, Dr Chidi Lloyd on Thursday presented the Local Government 2021 supplementary budget of two billion, three hundred million, three hundred and eighty-four thousand, one hundred and ninety naira (N2,003,384,190.00) only to the Local Government Legislative Assembly.
Dr Lloyd said the supplementary budget became necessary because some of the projects his administration intends to execute in the local government area are not enshrined in the 2021 budget of the Local Government.
Addressing members of the 9th Emohua Legislative Council at the council chambers, Dr Lloyd said the 2021 supplementary budget of two billion, three hundred million, three hundred and eighty-four thousand, one hundred and ninety naira N2,003,384,190.00 only, realisable from exchange indifference, recovery from over-payments, grants as well as monies realisable from extraordinary items is intended to put smiles on the faces of the people of the area.
The council chairman disclosed that the supplementary budget will enable his administration carry out some laudable projects that will reposition Emohua Local Government Area.
Some of the projects expected to be executed from the budget include; the provision of good roads at Rundele, Eveku and Ubimini communities, construction of a sickbay and convenience in the council premise, construction of Legislative Assembly building, construction of council gate and generator house, the rehabilitation and repairs of the ICT center and general maintenance works.
The budget will also make provision for the construction of a secretariat building for the local government vigilante services; which will serve as the operational office for the local government Internal security outfit.
Dr Lloyd called the Legislative Assembly and the good people of the local government area to join hands with his administration to actualize his good dreams for the local government area.
