774,000 Jobs: FG Approves November 1st As Commencement For Special Public Works (SPW) Programme

We are pleased to inform the general public that the Federal Government of Nigeria has Approved 1st of November 2020 for the Commencement of Special Public Works (SPW) Programme to kick start the 774,000 Jobs in all LGAs accross the country.

774,000 Jobs: FG Approves November 1st As Commencement For Special Public Works (SPW)

The Special Public Works (SPW) programme is a Federal Government Programme that is been coordinated by the Ministry of Labour, Productivity and Employment to provide a means of sustenance for jobless youths.

The programme is engaging 1000 persons from each of the 774 Local Government Areas in the country for menial jobs.

The Programme will last for the period of three months and the beneficiaries will be paid N20,000 per month after which, Beneficiaries will be reengaged as Agric Extension Workers.

The Federal Government has engaged six banks to commence account opening for beneficiaries of the Special Public Works Programme through-out the 774 local government areas (LGAs).

Among the banks that were appointed to engage in the exercise are Heritage Bank Plc, Zenith Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA), Access Bank, Fidelity Bank, and First City Monument Bank (FCMB).

Kindly note that the payment for Special Public Works Programme will be made directly to beneficiaries accounts. The State Selection Committees will have nothing to do with the stipends.
